PART-TIME COURT SECURITY


Responsible for keeping the peace in the courthouse and courtroom and all security aspects of the courthouse.

Qualifications: Applicants must be 18 years of age to be an unsworn deputy or at least 21 years of age to be a sworn deputy and have a high school diploma or equivalent.


Salary: $12.00 to $18.00 an hour depending on experience. Applicants will work 29 hours maximum per week.


The hiring process for each position may include a written test, oral board interview, drug testing and an extensive background investigation.

The Emergency Communication Officer position receives emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatches calls for service for Law Enforcement, Animal Control, Fire and Rescue and run traffic and criminal history queries.

Qualifications: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid Driver’s License, have a High School Diploma or equivalent and complete a Basic Dispatch Course, VCIN/NCIC certification and Emergency Medical Dispatch certification within a year. Applicant must have good written/oral skills, must have knowledge of multiple software programs and have proficient typing skills. Applicants must be able to work in a fast pace environment. 

Salary: $27,580 to $31,653, depending on experience.
Applicants will work varied shifts to include nights, weekends and holidays. 


PART-TIME ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER

Our Animal Control Deputy enforces the laws and regulations set by the State and County with an emphasis on animal control laws. The King & Queen County Animal Control Deputy's duties includes but no limited to: answering complaints from citizens, catching stray animals, dealing with dangerous dogs, investigations of cruelty to animals, and more.


Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must enjoy with working with all animals and the public.


Salary: $10.00 to $16.00 an hour, depending on experience.

Applicant will work 29 hours max per week.
