Full-time Emergency Communication Officer

The Emergency Communication Officer position receives emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatches calls for service for Law Enforcement, Animal Control, Fire and Rescue and run traffic and criminal history queries.

Qualifications:Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid Driver’s License, have a High School Diploma or equivalent and complete a Basic Dispatch Course, VCIN/NCIC certification and Emergency Medical Dispatch certification within a year. Applicant must have good written/oral skills, must have knowledge of multiple software programs and have proficient typing skills. Applicants must be able to work in a fast pace environment. Salary will be $27,000 to $30,732. Applicants will work varied shifts to include nights, weekends and holidays.  

Hiring process may include a written test, oral board interview, drug testing and an extensive background investigation.
